Best Time To Try: Not On The Ovulation Day!

Many kampo doctors share this tip with their patients: contrary to what a lot of women and men believe, if you want to have a baby, the best time to be intimate is NOT on the ovulation day itself!

This is because the sperms can survive in a woman’s body for 3-4 days (up to 5 days) where as the egg only survives for 12-24 hours after ovulation.

So you don’t want to waste any minute out of those precious hours during which your egg is alive! That is why it may be too late if you try ON the ovulation day, if you want to maximize your chances.

Best Time For TTC – A Few Days Before Ovulation!

Sperms should be waiting for the egg, which means you should be trying a few days before your expected ovulation date.

This is a good news especially if you have a regular cycle. You don’t need to stress so much about ovulation tests. Instead you can rely on your rough estimation and try a few times (if not more) during the 4-5 day right before.
